Day 2. Masai Mara
After breakfast, we depart for the Masai Mara, considered by many to be the world’s finest wildlife reserve. Hundreds of thousands of mostly herbivorous animals, along with a wide array of predators and scavengers, roam freely across its rolling hills and vast grasslands, drawn by the magnificent pastures and year-round water sources. In the afternoon, we go on a safari until sunset. Meals and lodging at Loyk Mara Luxury Camp, Mara Maisha Camp, Basecamp Explorer, or Mara Zebra Plains.
Day 3. Masai Mara (picnic lunch)
A full day in the Masai Mara dedicated to morning and afternoon game drives. We’ll visit different areas of the Masai Mara, such as Paradise Plain, Meta Plains, and Burrungant. We’ll visit the Mara River area where the crossings take place, where herbivores pass through during their migration. Our guide will keep a close watch for vultures circling overhead, as they can signal the presence of predators feeding on recent prey. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the Masai Mara. Accommodations at Mara Maisha Camp, Loyk Mara Luxury Camp, Basecamp Explorer, or Mara Zebra Plains.
Day 4. Masai Mara / Isebania / Serengeti + Night Safari
We’ll pick up guests at the border, and after completing immigration formalities, we’ll head to the Serengeti. We’ll arrive in the afternoon at our lodge, located in the heart of the savanna with views of the plains, and get ready for a night safari—a truly unique experience. Full-board accommodation at Ikoma Tented Camp or Africa Safari Ikoma Tented Camp.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
We’ll spend the day exploring the park and discovering all it has to offer, driving along its tracks across the vast plains in search of the Big Five: buffalo, elephants, lions, rhinos, and leopards. We will also visit the numerous hippo pools and the famous Nile crocodiles, such as Retina Hippo Pool, a deep natural pool located approximately 10 km north of Seronera, where the Seronera and Otangi rivers converge to form this pool. Although hippos are common in all the rivers of the region, this deep pool is the best place in the Serengeti to see these enormous and fascinating animals. Picnic lunch inside the park in the heart of the savanna. Full-board accommodation at Serengeti Ikoma Tented Camp or Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma.
NOTE: The Serengeti Night Safari can be taken on either of the two nights
Serengeti

Day 6: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
Early in the morning, as the first rays of sunlight break, we’ll head to one of the wonders of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater, where we’ll begin our search for the endangered black rhinoceros, which shares the habitat with more than 25,000 other mammals. We’ll also go on a safari to the Munge River area, where we’ll have the chance to see lions with darker manes. At midday, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the Crater in front of a marsh, watching the hippos bathe. After lunch, we’ll continue our safari en route as we leave the Crater and head to our accommodation to rest and spend the night. Full-board accommodation at Farm of Dream Lodge or Karatu Tented Camp.
Day 7. Karatu – Arusha / Departure
Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a transfer to the airport for your international flight or your trip to the coast. YOUR INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT OR FLIGHT TO ZANBIAR MUST DEPART NO EARLIER THAN 10:00 AM
If your flight departs at 5:00 PM or later, you may choose one of the following optional activities. You may select only one of them, after which you will be transferred to the airport for your flight.
OPTION 1 (TRIBUS)
Early this morning, after breakfast, we’ll set out with a picnic lunch for Lake Eyasi, also known as the land of the Bushmen. Once there, we’ll meet up with a local guide who will help us translate the Bushmen’s complex language, “CLIC.” We’ll spend time with a family to learn about their culture and traditions, and we’ll even have the chance to go hunting with them. If we prefer, we can stay with them at their home and help the women with their daily chores. Afterward, we’ll visit another family from the Ndatoga tribe. The Ndatoga are cattle herders in this area and will also introduce us to their culture. Finally, we’ll watch an ironworker at work, discovering this art form that, though archaic, has endured over the years. We’ll bring a picnic lunch. Afterward, transfer to the airport for your international flight or to the coastal region.
OPTION 2 (SOCIAL SOLIDARITY TOURISM)
Early today, after breakfast, we’ll set out with a picnic lunch for the unique town of Mto Wa Mbu. Once there, we’ll be joined by a local guide, who will take us to visit an elementary school and an orphanage. We’ll continue walking through the village, passing through banana plantations. We’ll have the chance to watch traditional woodcarvers from the Makonde tribe at work. This stop along the way will undoubtedly be a very rewarding experience. We’ll bring a picnic lunch. Afterward, we’ll transfer to the airport for your international flight or to the coastal area.
OPTION 3: LAKE MANYARA
Early this morning, after breakfast, we’ll set out with a picnic lunch for Lake Manyara National Park, where we’ll enjoy the scenery while searching for the famous tree-climbing lions that live there. In this park, we’ll also see large troops of baboons, elephants, zebras, and many other animals. This park is undoubtedly the place to spot birds such as pelicans and majestic flamingos, who, drawn to the water, display their plumage while fishing, creating a pink optical effect visible from a distance.
