On the way, we’ll pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where we’ll go on a guided walking safari accompanied by armed rangers. During the walk, we’ll have the chance to see animals, birds, and many plant species. We’ll also visit a Maasai village, where the locals will introduce us to their culture, customs, and daily life. After these activities, we’ll continue our journey, and once we arrive in the Serengeti, we’ll soon enter the park, ready to begin our first safari across the endless plains, where we’ll see many animals such as lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, antelopes, birds, and much more. The safari will extend until we reach the central area known as Seronera, and as the sun sets, we will be transferred to our tented camp located in the heart of the savanna with views of the entire plain. Day 5. Serengeti National Park + Night Safari

Today we’ll spend the day exploring the park and discovering all it has to offer, driving along its tracks across the vast plains in search of the Big Five: buffalo, elephants, lions, rhinos, and leopards. We will also visit the numerous hippo pools and the famous Nile crocodiles, such as Retina Hippo Pool, a deep natural pool located approximately 10 km north of Seronera, where the Seronera and Otangi rivers converge to form this pool. Although hippos are common in all the rivers of the region, this deep pool is the best place in the Serengeti to see these enormous and fascinating animals. Picnic lunch inside the park in the heart of the savanna. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a unique experience with a night safari. Full-board accommodation at Serengeti Ikoma Tented Camp or Africa Safari Serengeti Ikoma.

Day 6. Serengeti Central National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

Early in the morning, as the first rays of sunlight break, we’ll descend into one of the wonders of the world: the Ngorongoro Crater, where we’ll begin our search for the endangered black rhinoceros, which shares the habitat with more than 25,000 other mammals. We’ll also go on a safari to the Munge River area, where we’ll have the chance to see lions with darker manes. At midday, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch inside the Crater in front of a marsh, watching the hippos bathe. After lunch, we’ll continue our safari en route as we leave the Crater and head to our hotel in the town of Karatu, where we’ll rest and spend the night. Accommodation with full board at Farm of Dreams Lodge, Karatu Tented Camp, or Njia Panda Lodge.

Day 7. Ngorongoro (Karatu) – Lake Eyasi – Mto wa Mbu/Arusha

Early this morning, we’ll have a light breakfast of coffee or tea and head out to Lake Eyasi, also known as the land of the Bushmen. Once there, we’ll be joined by a local guide who will help us translate the Bushmen’s complex language, “CLIC.” We’ll spend time with a family to learn about their culture and traditions, and we’ll even have the opportunity to go hunting with them. If we prefer, we can stay with them at their home and help the women with their daily chores. Afterward, we’ll visit another family from the Ndatoga tribe. The Ndatoga are herders in this area and will also share their culture with us. Finally, we’ll watch an iron artisan at work, discovering this art form that, though archaic, has endured over the years. Next, with our picnic lunch, we’ll head to the unique town of Mto Wa Mbu. Once there, we’ll join a local guide who will take us to visit an elementary school and an orphanage. We’ll continue walking through the village, passing through banana plantations. We’ll get to watch traditional woodcarvers from the Makonde tribe at work. This stop along the way will undoubtedly be a very rewarding experience. Later in the day, we’ll head to Arusha to spend the night at the Kibo Palace Hotel.
